The Berkeley neighborhood is located just north of the Highlands and north east of the city center in an area identified as Denver North West. Berkeley is dominated by art galleries, artsy boutiques and restaurants. This is an evolving neighborhood that has experienced tremendous growth, particularly as buyers are priced out of Highlands.

Since Elitch Gardens Amusement Park closed and relocated downtown, some thought the neighborhood would decrease in value but that was not the case. Locally owned restaurants, boutiques and spas have continued to thrive in their location. The First Friday Art Walk is a huge part of the Berkeley neighborhood that occurs on Tennyson Street, which is the retail center of the neighborhood.

Berkeley is a mix of homes that are affordable. You have your 1940 ranch style homes, 1920 bungalows and new construction such as Berkley Row. It is a more affordable location than the Highlands yet is still in a fabulous location.

Then you have Berkeley Park which has basketball courts, fishing in the lake, indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a pathway to enjoy with a bike or by foot, softball fields, tennis courts, recreation center, playground, off leash dog park, and a library. It is great to run with your dog, enjoy with the family or take a book and people watch.
